Tailored and Comprehensive Women's Health Services
We offer a full range of women's integrated health services, provided by a multidisciplinary team of women's health and wellness experts who work together to customize your care and provide the most effective treatment. Our goal is to partner with you in shared decision-making and empower you with knowledge, support, and the best approaches to protect and improve your health.
Minimally invasive gynecologic procedures
Our surgeons use minimally invasive laparoscopy, robotic surgery, vaginal surgery, and embolization approaches that result in smaller or no incisions, less discomfort after surgery, and a quicker recovery than open surgical procedures. Our gynecologic surgeons and interventional radiologists are especially experienced in the latest techniques to treat uterine fibroids, endometriosis, uterovaginal prolapse, and incontinence. Some women benefit from single-port surgery, where the entire operation is completed through one small incision — typically in the belly button.
Comprehensive pregnancy care
Expectant mothers can receive all the care they need before, during, and after childbirth from NewYork-Presbyterian's pregnancy care teams. We've provided the highest-quality, comprehensive women's health care for well over a hundred years. Our highly skilled ob-gyns offer clinical expertise and compassionate care to women with routine pregnancies, tailoring your prenatal care to your unique health needs, personal philosophies, and preferences. Our renowned maternal-fetal medicine program is headed by academic leaders who have advanced knowledge in pregnancy complications. We also have specialty programs dedicated to treating complex pregnancies. These programs feature doctors with advanced training and expertise in the care of women with other health challenges, such as heart or blood disorders, risk of stroke, gestational diabetes, and those carrying infants known to have a congenital condition.
Fertility and reproductive care
Our fertility experts understand how challenging it can be for women who are trying to conceive but are having trouble doing so. The Ronald O. Perelman and Claudia Cohen Center for Reproductive Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine and the Columbia University Fertility Center are nationally respected for providing exceptional fertility and reproductive endocrinology services — including experience caring for women with other health issues — with excellent results.
Heart disease affects women of all ages. We expertly address women's heart health needs with programs that identify women at increased risk for heart disease, prevent disease development and progression, and improve women's overall heart health and well-being. We also provide comprehensive women's healthcare to patients with heart disease who are pregnant or contemplating pregnancy.
Cancer care and survivorship
NewYork-Presbyterian provides full-range, multidisciplinary care for women at high risk for, or who have been diagnosed with, cancer. This includes breast cancer, gynecologic cancer (ovarian, cervical, vaginal, uterine, and vulvar), lung cancer, and colon cancer. The hospital also offers customized survivorship programs to address the unique needs of women who have survived cancer, with recommendations for follow-up visits, screenings, wellness, and guidelines for healthy living.
We recognize the importance of providing dedicated mental health care for women. Our clinical programs address women's mental health needs throughout life, including problems that occur during the menstrual cycle, pregnancy and the postpartum period, and in the course of menopause. Our experts also help women cope with eating disorders, infertility, pregnancy loss, and parenting challenges.
As women age, their risk increases for bone diseases such as osteoporosis and osteopenia. Our bone health programs provide comprehensive care for the prevention, detection, and treatment of bone diseases, including bone density monitoring, state-of-the-art therapies, and healthy lifestyle habits involving good nutrition and weight-bearing exercises.
Mid-life and menopause health
We offer multidisciplinary programs to address women's unique needs in mid-life and through menopause. The programs include specialists in primary care, cardiology, neurology, integrative health, psychiatry, and weight loss.
