When to seek professional help
Your guide to treatment
Our team works closely with you to understand how you’re feeling and the issues you may be facing. We then design a treatment program drawing on a wide range of potential approaches to help you create the life you want to live.
Our approach to care
The treatment needs of young people often aren't fully recognized or understood, which sometimes leads to misdiagnosis. Our mission is to help young people get the expertise they need to move forward and feel better.
The Center for Youth Mental Health achieves this in three ways:
- We work closely with you to provide diagnosis and specialized treatment from nationally recognized experts.
- We research new treatments, including medication and specialized cognitive therapy that helps improve young people’s lives.
- We conduct advanced lab research in mice to identify abnormal biology in the developing brain. This helps us understand why people feel the way they do and can lead to even better treatments.
Our fully integrated approach to mental health care enables us to offer the best possible treatment, while keeping you and your family's needs at the center of what we do.
