Victim Intervention Program

Counseling & Therapy

If you are a survivor of sexual assault, intimate partner violence or other crimes, you are not alone. Suffering from the effects of abuse is not your fault. We are here to offer hope and help guide your journey towards healing and wellness.

The Victim Intervention Program’s licensed social workers are here to support survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence, no matter when the violence occurred in one’s lifetime.

It is not unusual for survivors and their loved ones to feel unable to return to life as they knew it before the violence took place. Trauma-related disturbances can linger for weeks, months, or years, and can include both physical and emotional symptoms, such as headaches, inability to focus, changes to sleep patterns, nightmares, flashbacks, difficulties with relationships, episodes of fear and nervousness, increased alcohol or drug use, weight loss/gain, episodes of crying, unusual tiredness, confusion, shame, anger, and other symptoms.

At the Victim Intervention Program, we specialize in the treatment of trauma-related symptoms following rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, intimate partner violence, and family violence.

All of the Victim Intervention Program’s services are confidential, within the confines of the law, and are free of charge.
