Each year, the Department evaluates over 105,000 patients with a large variety of high acuity pathology. It is designated as a Level 2 trauma center, a STEMI center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center, along with ECMO capabilities. We also provide a 24-hour pediatric emergency service. The Department was the first to be designated a Level One Emergency Center by the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine.
