Rotation Opportunities for Students

4th-year advanced clinical elective

An intensive, 4-week rotation geared specifically for students interested in a career in the Emergency Medicine specialty or more in-depth exposure. Includes clinical (adult/pediatrics shifts), EMS ride-a-long, and didactics/hands-on labs throughout the rotation. Priority given to EM bound students early in the academic year, however, all those interested may apply.

4th-year emergency medicine ultrasound elective

A 2-week elective within the Ultrasound Division of Emergency Medicine. Focus is on applying clinical ultrasound to everyday patient encounters within the ER setting. Includes daily bedside teaching, weekly quality assurance (fellows conference), a preset teaching curriculum, and on-line learning. Note: Maximum of 2 students per block.
