Services we offer
Effective weight loss starts with personalized care. We evaluate your health history, goals, and individual needs to create the most appropriate treatment approach for you.
Our surgical weight loss experts use robotic-assisted, minimally invasive, and laparoscopic techniques to promote less pain and quicker recovery times.
- Gastric bypass surgery (Roux-en-Y): This procedure reduces the stomach to the size of an egg, restricting the amount of food that can be eaten at one time. A portion of the small intestine is also bypassed, decreasing the amount of calories and fat that can be absorbed.
- Laparoscopic gastric banding (Lap band or Realize Band): An adjustable band is placed around the stomach to create a small pouch above the stomach. The tightness of the band is adjusted, controlling the passage of food between the two parts of the stomach, to give the patient a faster feeling of fullness that lasts longer after eating.
- Sleeve gastrectomy: This procedure reduces the size of the stomach to the shape of a banana, so the patient feels full after eating less. The surgery also removes the portion of the stomach that produces the hunger hormone, ghrelin. Unlike gastric bypass, this procedure doesn’t involve rerouting or reconnecting the intestines.
