Why Choose Us
NewYork-Presbyterian has some of the nation's leading pediatric specialists
Both NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children's Hospital are among the nation's leading centers for diagnosing and treating childhood diseases. They are major referral centers for complex and rare disorders in infants, children, and adolescents.
Experts in Child and Adolescent Health
Our pediatricians have expertise in understanding children's needs, addressing physical health, and issues affecting behavior and emotional health. In addition to addressing health concerns and illness, we focus on health promotion and disease prevention, emphasizing the context of family, community, and the environment in which each child lives. At our many locations and clinics, our pediatricians care for patients from infancy to age 20.
Research
Our faculty are actively involved in research either as principal investigators or as co-investigators. We are currently involved in research projects focused on the following: improving child and adolescent health through addressing vaccination and other preventive services, understanding the impact of poverty and adverse childhood experiences on health outcomes, improving the delivery of mental health and obesity prevention services, and the reproductive health needs of adolescents and young adults.
Our Approach to Care
Holistic and Comprehensive Care
We recognize that every child is unique. We take a holistic approach to care that considers the entire patient, including their physical, emotional, and social factors. We strive to partner with patients and families in shared decision-making, empowering them with knowledge, support, and the most effective treatment options to achieve the best possible outcome for every child.
A Multidisciplinary Team Approach
Our physicians collaborate with NewYork-Presbyterian's network of specialists in all areas of pediatric medicine and surgery, allowing us to provide state-of-the-art, comprehensive, and coordinated care for any medical issue or concern.
Parents As Team Members
