Operations Manager, Food and Nutrition

Kathleen Phillips has been working in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics for close to twenty years. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from James Madison University, and her Dietetic Internship program and Master's in Public Health from Rutgers University (formerly known as University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey). Her career so far includes opportunities in inpatient and outpatient clinical nutrition, bariatric nutrition, clinical nutrition management and food service management. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has served on the state level as a Nominating officer of the NJ Dietetics Association, having previously served as a Region co-chair to plan educational activities. Katie is a member of the Greater New Jersey Society of Healthcare Food Service Administrators and is ServSafe certified. Lastly, Katie is the co-author of a manuscript entitled "An Instrument to Assess Health-Related Advertising on College Campuses," which she presented as part of the poster session at FNCE 2010.

Curtis Fulton started out working in the IT field receiving a MS in Computer Science and worked as a consultant. After working in IT, he decided to go back to school, receiving a BS in Culinary Nutrition from Johnson and Wales University. Curtis completed his dietetic internship here at New York Presbyterian and worked as a Culinary Nutrition Fellow. Currently, he works as a staff relief dietitian at the Allen.

Rafaela Lopez is a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist, and has been working in clinical practice for over 20 years at New York Presbyterian/Allen Hospital. Rafaela completed dual Master/Bachelor of Sciences and Dietetic Practice at Hunter College of the City University of New York. Currently she is responsible for the nutritional care of Geriatric Medicine and OB Patients.

Clinical Nutritionist

Michelle Li graduated from Montclair State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Michelle completed her dietetic internship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital before becoming a Registered Dietitian at the NYP-Allen Hospital. She enjoys baking, traveling, and discovering new foods from all around the world. Currently she is responsible for covering the ICU and Stepdown units.

Victoria Vershinina graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Nutrition Science. Victoria completed her dietetic internship at Iowa State University and is now working on her Master’s Degree in Nutrition at Brooklyn College. Currently, she is responsible for the nutrition care of General Medicine and Spine unit patient populations.
