Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell
The Sue and John L. Weinberg Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center is located within the acute care hospital with access to a wide variety of specialists who can be consulted as needed. On our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit (IRU) we strive to assist you to reach your goals and regain your independence. Our world class interdisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, therapists, social workers and other clinicians work hard to ensure you receive excellent and empathetic care to help you recover and achieve your full potential.
The inpatient rehabilitation unit is designed for patients who require intense, active, and ongoing therapeutic intervention with multiple therapy disciplines (physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology) in accordance with CMS guidelines.
We provide rehabilitation services for patients recovering from major illnesses including:
- Acquired traumatic brain injury
