Advanced Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery
At NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, our goal is to offer the best treatment through the least invasive method. Our gynecologic surgeons have unmatched expertise in minimally invasive approaches, including hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and robotic surgery, to treat the most complex and challenging gynecologic conditions, such as pelvic pain, uterine fibroids, endometriosis.
These approaches results in smaller incisions, less postoperative discomfort, and a quicker return to your normal activities, so you can go back to doing the things you enjoy sooner. Our urogynecologists perform surgery to repair pelvic floor problems, such as uterine prolapse and urinary and fecal incontinence. Most of these procedures can be performed on an outpatient basis so you can return to the comfort of your home the same day.

Our Weill Cornell Medicine clinician-investigators remain at the forefront of research related to maternal-fetal medicine, gynecology oncology and other women’s health issues. NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is a satellite site for the collaboration of studies and projects with the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network, which focuses on clinical questions in maternal fetal medicine and obstetrics, particularly with respect to the continuing problem of preterm birth. Institute for Placental Medicine
At the NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Institute for Placental Medicine, a multidisciplinary team of specialists have exceptional experience and skills in caring for women with placental problems. Our team’s goal is to address these disorders early, bring the pregnancy safely to term, and perform a delivery that results in a healthy baby and a healthy mother. The Institute is a major referral center for pregnant women with placenta complications and offers unparalleled care and expertise.

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is proud to be an NAPBC-accredited breast center. The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) is a quality program administered by the American College of Surgeons (ACS). To achieve NAPBC accreditation, a breast center must demonstrate compliance with the NAPBC standards that address a center’s leadership, clinical services, research, community outreach, professional education, and quality improvement for patients. Breast centers seeking NAPBC accreditation undergo a comprehensive site visit every three years.
