Trauma Surgery
NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is a Level 1 Trauma Center servicing the Queens community. Orthopedic surgeons and rotating orthopedic residents care for patients with open fractures, hip fractures, femoral (thighbone) fractures, non-unions (bones that do not heal), osteomyelitis (infection of the bone), multiple injuries, and isolated fractures. At the time of your visit, depending on the severity of your fracture, your physician my treat you by using a splint, cast, brace, or other device on the outside of your injury to stabilize the fracture.
