What is NYP OnDemand Urgent Care?

Illustration: Getting seen by a board certified emergency medicine doctor without having to travel

If you or a family member need care urgently and can’t/don’t want to travel, video chat with a doctor instead to get an instant examination, diagnosis, and treatment. Available for both adults and children, Urgent Care can be accessed via the web or on a mobile device.

  • For $99 per visit, you can see Board Certified Emergency Medicine doctors (adult and pediatric) from Weill Cornell Medicine
  • Get a visual examination for appropriate conditions over live video and, like a traditional appointment, even a prescription.
  • Available when others are not, access adult Urgent Care from 8am to midnight and pediatric Urgent Care from 6pm to midnight.
  • NYP Urgent Care is NOT for medical emergencies. If you are having a medical emergency please proceed to the nearest emergency room or call 911.

Why have a digital Urgent Care visit?

There are some injuries or illnesses that can be easily diagnosed and treated visually, by a doctor examining you through a camera and listening to your concerns:

  • If you're on-the-go but aren't feeling well, a video visit and prescription would save time and energy.
  • You might also be too unwell to visit the doctor, making Urgent Care quick and convenient.
  • You can be sure that our Board Certified Emergency Medicine doctors will provide nationally recognized standards of high quality care.
  • You can get a prescription, if necessary, sent straight to your local pharmacy. Please note, prescriptions for controlled substances are not written.

You could consider Urgent Care if you have:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Acne
  • Anxiety
  • Asthma
  • Back Pain
  • Bronchitis
  • Cold or the Flu
  • Constipation
  • Cough
