Physicians, surgeons, nurses, social workers and other healthcare professionals must keep abreast of the latest developments in their respective fields. Continuing education, therefore, plays an important role at our hospital.
Continuing Medical Education
Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities are provided to our medical and surgical staff and multidisciplinary audiences through Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Most Continuing Medical Education programs are clinical in nature but provide theoretical scientific background, including examinations of current ethical and public policy issues faced by today's practicing physicians.
NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditations Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to authorize and issue CME credit for programs that are developed by either institution as part of its overall program of CME.
