Physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians (physiatrists) assess and treat people with acute and chronic physical disabilities. Our physiatrists work to improve a patient’s quality of life by incorporating exercise-based rehabilitation and pain management into the nonsurgical treatment of a variety of injuries and disorders, such as neck and back pain, shoulder pain, and spinal cord injuries. At NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens, we are dedicated to helping our patients reduce their symptoms and improve movement, functionality, and coordination.

Our physical medicine and rehabilitation experts specialize in helping patients with chronic pain who have not responded well to previous treatments.
