Comprehensive therapies and support for women with ovarian, endometrial, cervical, and other reproductive system cancers

Advanced Treatments for Women's Cancers

At NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester (formerly Lawrence Hospital), we provide seamless care for individuals with gynecologic cancers in a compassionate and personalized environment. From screening and diagnosis to treatment and follow-up care, you can receive the full range of services you need. If you have an increased risk of a gynecologic cancer because of a family history of the disease, you can consult with a genetic counselor, access genetic testing (for example, screening for BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations or Lynch syndrome), and receive customized treatment recommendations to reduce your risk.

What We Treat

We provide care for patients with all types and stages of gynecologic cancers, including:

  • Ovarian cancer
  • Fallopian tube cancer
  • Primary peritoneal cancer
  • Endometrial (uterine) cancer
  • Uterine sarcomas, such as leiomyosarcoma
  • Cervical cancer
  • Vaginal cancer
  • Vulvar cancer

Our Approach to Care

Our expert multidisciplinary team includes gynecologic oncologists, medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists who are on the faculty at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. They work closely with oncology-certified nurses and supportive care professionals to provide your care. We get to know you and your family, your life events, and your personal preferences, and we take these into account when planning and providing your treatment. Patient navigators coordinate your screening exams and the various components of your care and serve as your point of contact for any questions you or your family may have.

We understand that a diagnosis of cancer can be challenging for you as well as your loved ones. That's why we offer psychosocial, nutritional, and other support services for women with gynecologic cancers. Your team ensures that your quality of life is the best it can be from the moment of diagnosis and throughout your treatment.

Why Choose Us

If you've been diagnosed with a gynecologic cancer, you may be concerned about your future, how you will feel during treatment, your fertility, and your sexuality. At NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester (formerly Lawrence Hospital), we understand your concerns and do all we can to provide the most effective treatments with the least impact on your life.

If your cancer cannot be successfully treated with standard therapies, we can also connect you with clinical trials assessing innovative treatments for gynecologic cancers through our affiliation with the National Cancer Institute-designated Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center of Columbia University.

After your therapy is completed, our Cancer Survivorship Clinical Program helps coordinate your follow-up care and communication with your other healthcare providers as you return to life after treatment. Reach out to us today to make an appointment with one of our expert team members.
