Bariatric Support Group

Need help in making a decision about bariatric surgery? Would you like to hear from patients who are succeeding after surgery? Consider joining the hospital’s Bariatric Support Group, held on the second Wednesday of each month and facilitated by Ashley Fleischhauer, RN, BSN, and Coordinator of the hospital’s Bariatric Program, which achieved national accreditation. Post-surgery nutrition is also discussed, to maximize recovery and success. Pre-registration is required.

Breastfeeding Support Group

This is open to moms and expecting moms who would like to learn more about breastfeeding in a supportive environment. There is also the opportunity to share information with other new mothers.

Breast Cancer Support Group

Join a group of women who have also heard the words “you have breast cancer” and discuss issues pertaining to all stages of diagnosis, treatment, and post-treatment. This program is facilitated by Support Connection, Inc.

Cancer Support Group for Latina Women

Latina women who have been diagnosed with cancer are invited to join a bilingual support group at the hospital, facilitated by Claudia Rivas, LMSW. The group will meet in the hospital’s Cheryl R. Lindenbaum Comprehensive Cancer Center Conference Room on the first and third Fridays of the month, from 12:00-1:30 p.m., at 1978 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor. Pre-registration is required.
