2026 Lang Youth Medical Program Graduation

Established in 2003, the Lang Youth Medical Program at NewYork-Presbyterian inspires possibilities while promoting excellence in enrichment learning to students of Community School District 6. This six-year science enrichment program prepares students in the Washington Heights and Inwood school district to gain acceptance into college, explore careers in healthcare, and become future leaders who give back to their communities.

2026 CYMH Dinner

The annual Center for Youth Mental Health Dinner was hosted on June 22 in support of The Center for Youth Mental Health (CYMH) at NewYork-Presbyterian. The CYMH is dedicated to providing best-in-class, transformative mental health support for young people, with the dinner helping bring together expert clinicians, community members, and thought leaders in a number of fields to discuss advancements in care and better ways of ensuring young people receive the support they need.

New York Times Features Cardiac AI Program Developed at NYP

A cardiac AI tool developed by NewYork-Presbyterian and Columbia clinicians was featured in The New York Times for its potential to help doctors identify serious heart conditions earlier. The tool, EchoNext, uses artificial intelligence to analyze electrocardiograms, or ECGs, and detect patterns that may suggest structural heart disease—patterns that can be difficult to identify through standard ECG review alone.

After her daughter Bellami spent considerable time in one of our neonatal intensive care units, Marija Ringwelski was inspired to support the transformative care we provide by joining the Maternal & Child Family Advisory Council (FAC) at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. The Council helps influence policy and procedures while galvanizing support for the care teams on campus. With Marija now serving as its chair, the volunteer-based FAC is dedicated to ensuring the community and the hospital work more in unison for the benefit of all.
