Allergic Rhinitis
For some people, allergic rhinitis (such as hay fever) is nothing more than a nuisance. But for others, it can lead to chronic nasal obstruction and be a debilitating condition that significantly detracts from the quality of their work and recreational lives.
NewYork-Presbyterian's ENT specialists work with allergists to offer comprehensive allergy screening to identify causes of allergic rhinitis, which may be treated with medication, lifestyle changes (such as changes to the home environment), allergy injections, or immunotherapy drops placed under the tongue. Chronic nasal obstruction which cannot be effectively resolved with medication may be treated with surgery.
