About Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer (other than skin cancer) and the second leading cause of cancer death in men. Approximately one in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in his lifetime. The risk of prostate cancer increases with age; more than 75 percent of all cases are diagnosed in men over 65. The rate is even higher among African-American men, who may develop the disease a decade earlier than the rest of the population.
