  • Gain the ability to identify, review, and apply current evidence-based practices to ensure program content remains relevant and effective.

Interns will accomplish by doing the following:

  • Disseminate, collect, input, analyze and create reports for evaluation of data. The intern will support the collection of quantitative and qualitative data, which is used for program evaluation.
  • Collaborate on scholarly contributions and provide feedback on projects other team members are working on.
  • Research latest evidence-based practices to ensure programming is up to date, and support makes changes when needed.

  • Modifications for program curriculums utilizing latest evidence-based practices and feedback from community.

The Behavioral Health domain within NewYork-Presbyterian’s Division of Community and Population Health is focused on promoting mental, emotional, and behavioral well-being across the lifespan, with a strong emphasis on prevention, early intervention, and equitable access to care. The domain works to address the behavioral health needs of individuals, families, and communities, particularly those historically underserved by integrating clinical expertise with community-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approaches.

Guided by NYP’s values and commitment to health equity, the Behavioral Health domain plays a critical role in advancing whole-person care, strengthening community resilience, and ensuring that behavioral health is treated as an essential component of overall health and well-being.

Through partnerships with community organizations, schools, and internal clinical teams, the Behavioral Health domain supports a continuum of services that includes mental health education, care coordination, therapeutic interventions, crisis response, and youth-centered programming. The work is grounded in evidence-based practices and designed to reduce stigma, strengthen protective factors, and improve long-term health outcomes.
