Sexual Health MMU

Our Impact/Outcomes

The Sexual Health MMU aims to reduce health disparities in communities of color and among LGBTQI youth and young adults by providing accessible, gender affirming, inclusive, free, or affordable health care to communities currently facing barriers accessing sexual health services and at greatest risk for HIV infection, transmission and poor outcomes. The MMU will serve areas which currently have the highest rate of new HIV diagnoses and patients who are at risk for STI and new HIV infections. The MMU will provide accessible and affordable treatment to individuals who are undiagnosed or out of care, as well as health education and risk reduction services and through doing so will reduce the impact of ongoing HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and mpox epidemics. The overarching goal is to help end the HIV epidemic consistent with NYC, NYS and HHS planning by 2030 and help ensure a future HIV-free generation of New Yorkers.
