Upcoming: New York Methodist Hospital’s Annual Evening for Women’s Health, Thrive!
Mar 21, 2016
Brooklyn, NY
New York Methodist Hospital (NYM) will host its third annual evening for women's health on Thursday, April 7 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at NYM's main campus at 506 Sixth Street in Brooklyn. The event's theme for 2016 is Thrive! The night will combine Brooklyn-worthy fun—including wine tasting, door prizes, mini-massages, acupuncture, light bites from local eateries, and more—with health information, screenings, and Q+A sessions with Hospital medical professionals. Presenters will include Stephen Peterson, M.D., chair of NYM's Department of Internal Medicine, and Karen Kupinski, R.D., the Hospital's director of clinical nutrition.
"This is NYM's largest annual outreach event specifically devoted to health issues impacting women, delivered in an enjoyable and interactive atmosphere," said Loren Avellino, the Hospital's director of community outreach. "New York Methodist has a legacy of service to our community that dates back over 130 years, and we are proud to continue to innovate new ways to empower the women of Brooklyn to take charge of their mental, physical and emotional health."
Thrive! is open to attendees over the age of 21. The entry fee is $15 for those who pre-register and pre-pay, or $20 at the door, subject to availability. Tickets may be purchased on the website, or by calling 855-NYM-WELL.
