NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital Hosts Kick-Off Rally for Support Connection Walk

NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital and the Ashikari Breast Center will host a breakfast on Friday, August 22, to kick-off their joint sponsorship of the Support Connection’s annual Support-A-Walk for breast and ovarian cancer. The event will begin at 7:30 am in the Lobby of the Cancer Center, located at 1978 Crompond Road, Cortlandt Manor. The kick-off event will include breakfast, networking and door prize drawings as well as a chance to learn everything you need to know about the walk. Support Connection staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and to register those interested. Brochures, fliers and other materials will be available, along with information on fundraising and forming teams.

Support Connection provides a wide range of services for women with breast and ovarian cancer locally, regionally and nationally. Celebrating their 20th anniversary, Support Connection provides peer counseling, patient education, support groups for patients and families---all at no cost to the patient.

Lindenbaum Cancer Center. "Through our partnership with Support Connection, we are able to collaborate to provide vital support services to those dealing with breast and ovarian cancer. We wish them the best on their 20th year serving the community."

The Support-A-Walk for Breast and Ovarian Cancer will take place on Sun., Oct. 5, (rain or shine) at FDR Park, Route 202, Yorktown Heights.
