Dr. Maurice Poplausky, Chair of Diagnostic Imaging, Vascular & Interventional Radiology, (Center, LEFT) and Dr. Bobby Janda, Medical Director of the Hospitalist Program, (Center, RIGHT) do the honors of cutting a cake in celebration of National Doctors’ Day at NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital. With a special breakfast organized by the Magnet (Nursing) Committee, the hospital joined with other healthcare organizations across the country Wednesday to recognize and celebrate our physicians for their work and many contributions to the community. National Doctors’ Day has been held annually on March 30th since 1991.

At NYP/Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor, 410 medical staff members in 62 specialties, together with our award-winning Magnet nurses, deliver the highest quality, and most reliable and empathetic care to our patients and their families. A National Doctors’ Day message to all NYP physicians stated: "Every day, our doctors combine knowledge, curiosity, intuition and compassion in amazing ways. They change patients’ lives. They advance the frontiers of medicine. And they ready the next generation of physicians to do the same. On behalf of our patients, families and everyone else whose lives you touch, thank you."
