Artists from the Dance Project of Washington Heights, the Washington Heights Choir School, and Grammy and Pulitzer Prize-winning writer and actor Lin-Manuel Miranda helped celebrate 20 years of Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital at the 2023 Amazing Kids, Amazing Care Dinner.

NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital recently celebrated two decades of pediatric excellence and the incredible leadership of John J. Mack, Chair Emeritus of the NewYork-Presbyterian Board of Trustees, at the annual Amazing Kids, Amazing Care dinner. We are so grateful to all of our donors, especially those who supported this wonderful dinner celebrating the 20th anniversary of the hospital's founding. Proceeds from the night went to support a state-of-the-art neurological neonatal ICU, which would be the first of its kind in New York, and the Kids' Care Fund which provides programs and clinical services that are offered at no cost to patients and families at the NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital. Together we raised $1 million to fund vital programs and specialized clinical services for babies, children, and their families throughout New York City and beyond.

In November 2003, NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, Manhattan’s only stand-alone children’s hospital, officially opened to the public. Powered by John J. Mack's visionary guidance and support, this was the first hospital built entirely through philanthropy—Morgan Stanley, the Morgan Stanley Foundation, Morgan Stanley employees, and other donors—and it is recognized as a world-renowned hospital for pediatric health.

At NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, caring for the youngest and most vulnerable patients, including many who have been turned away from hospitals that consider their cases too complex. Sixty percent are uninsured or on Medicaid in a neighborhood where one in five families live below the poverty line. Over the past 20 years, hundreds of thousands of parents throughout Northern Manhattan, New York City, the tri-state area, across the country, and beyond have brought their children to NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley for the expertise, compassion, family-centered care, and medical leadership that have defined the institution. With philanthropic support, the hospital continues to fulfill its mission of providing them all with best-in-class care, regardless of their ability to pay.
