Registration & Qualifications

I already registered for the Fan for Life Program, do I need to register for the New Fan Ceremony?

Yes, the New Fan Ceremony is an event that is offered only to those who have already registered the Fan for Life program. You must still confirm your attendance at the team-specific event through the registration website. All invitations to the event are non-transferable.

Who is eligible to register for the event?

Any family that has given birth at a NewYork-Presbyterian location within the past year and have signed up for the Fan for Life Program is eligible to register for the event.

Can my older children or other family members attend?

You can bring up to four individuals, including your newborn baby. If you would like to inquire about bringing additional guests, please email [email protected]. We will make our best efforts to accommodate additional participants, however, cannot guarantee that additional guests will be permitted to attend.

How much does it cost to attend the event?

This event is offered complimentary to those who have previously registered for the Fan for Life Program. Your registration is all that is required.

Why do you need my partner/child’s name? Also, what happens if I need to change the names of attendees?

We require all guest names in advance of the event to ensure the safety of all attendees. We request the name of the child for custom event certificates. If the names of the attendees need to change, please email [email protected] with the original name and the new name that will be replacing it.

What if my baby was just born and not old enough to attend?

Congratulations on your newest addition to your family! Please follow the Fan for Life Program emails, as there will be an opportunity to register for next year’s New Fan Ceremony.

Event Waitlist

What happens if I am put on the waitlist?

Thank you for your interest in the New Fan Ceremony! We will send an email in the weeks leading up to the event to let you know if we are able to accommodate your family at the event. 

Event Day Logistics

Is there a schedule of events?

An itinerary for the day will be emailed to all attendees prior to the event date. The itinerary will include all relevant times, locations and additional details.

Where should we go when we arrive on the day of the event?

Please report to Gate 4 where you will enter through security and be checked in. A detailed itinerary will be sent to you prior to the event containing a map of the preferred parking, entrances and exits.

Do I need to bring anything the day of the event?

Each guest must bring a valid form of ID and any necessities for their baby that day (diapers, breast pumps, formula, etc.). There will be secure storage for these supplies at the event. Comfortable shoes are recommended as exclusive tours of the stadium will be part of the event experience.

Can I bring a stroller?

Yes, you will be able to bring a stroller to the event.

Will food and beverage be provided at the event?

Yes, lunch will be available at the start of the event. Lunch will include baby food options. If you, or someone in your family, has specific dietary restrictions that were not noted on the registration form, please email us at [email protected].

What happens if it rains the day of the New Fan Ceremony?

The New Fan Ceremony will happen rain or shine. There are contingency plans in place for inclement weather.

Is there is a game that day?

There will not be a game on the day of the event. This will be a private event at the stadium.

Will there be private spaces available for nursing?

Yes, private rooms will be easily accessible for new mothers that may need to nurse during the event.

Is the event handicapped-accessible?

Yes, the event is handicapped-accessible. Please reach out to us prior to the event at [email protected] if you will require special accommodations.

Travel & Parking

Will parking be available? Do I need to pay for it?

Complimentary parking will be available in the 164th Street Garage located outside Yankee Stadium.
