Compassionate emergency and critical care for children

We offer specialized pediatric emergency and critical care services designed to meet the needs of children and infants in Brooklyn.

Our pediatric emergency department is staffed by dual board-certified emergency and pediatric physicians and nurses. This self-contained area within the NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist emergency department is designed specifically for the comfort of pediatric patients and their families.

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit

For critically ill children, our PICU provides innovative, family-centered care for conditions ranging from respiratory failure to postoperative recovery. Children with complex or rare conditions benefit from convenient access to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where they can be transferred to receive advanced therapies if necessary.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

We care for the most vulnerable newborns in our 24-bed Level III NICU. We are equipped to care for newborns who need intensive medical attention, including those born extremely prematurely and those requiring and recovering from surgery, and provide care to babies who need more support before going home in our Transitional Care Nursery.
