NewYork-Presbyterian’s Mini-Grants have provided financial assistance to local, grass roots community-based organizations (CBOs) since 2011. Initially launched in Northern Manhattan, this grant opportunity has successfully supported dozens of CBOs in developing their health and wellness programming.

Grant proposals have focused on a range of topics, including:

  • Nutrition and food insecurity
  • Urban gardening
  • Music and the arts
  • Sports and dance
  • Youth development

Grant funding

The Mini-Grant is a three-year funding program with renewal opportunities starting after year one.

  • First year - $5,000
  • Second year – up to $7,500
  • Third year – up to $10,000

Funding is contingent upon meeting annual grant requirements. Organizations must maintain a 501c3 status or have a Fiscal Sponsor and may not have an operational budget that exceeds $500,000.
