The Center for Sleep Disorders at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility designed to treat a range of sleep disorders and provide a relaxing and comfortable environment for patients. It was the first hospital-based sleep center in Brooklyn to receive accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Because sleeping disorders can be brought on by lung, cardiac, neurologic, and psychiatric disorders, NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital has brought together specialists from many disciplines to evaluate, diagnose, and treat sleep disorders in people of all ages. Pediatric sleep disorders and breathing disorders during sleep are among the most common issues parents of young children may face. These disorders can result in learning and behavioral disabilities and long-term pulmonary, endocrine, and heart disease. Obtaining a diagnosis and managing sleep problems early on may help children with development and growth.
