Podiatry Residency Program

Chief Resident

The Chief Resident is responsible for the supervision of all the podiatry residents and serves as a liaison between the program director and the resident staff. He/she also oversees all extern activities.

The chief resident assigns clinical and surgical responsibilities to his/her fellow residents, and selects contemporary and informative articles and chapters for discussion and review during weekly journal/book clubs.

This resident also coordinates in service training to introduce the resident staff to new and prevalent pharmaceuticals and medical equipment.

Above all, the chief resident provides leadership and serves as an example to all residents and externs at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
