Emergency Medical Services

NewYork-Presbyterian Emergency Medical Services (NYP-EMS) provides emergency and nonemergency ambulance services to patients in the New York tristate area and beyond. Our expertly qualified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and paramedics are linked to board-certified physicians specializing in emergency or cardiac care through sophisticated communications, bringing an unsurpassed level of support to the seriously ill or injured.

NYP-EMS is an active leader in the greater EMS community in New York City and the surrounding regions. We work with the Fire Department of New York, the New York City Office of Emergency Management, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and the New York State Department of Health to conduct emergency planning and preparedness activities. NewYork-Presbyterian Emergency Medical Services also cooperates and collaborates with the Greater New York Hospital Association on issues involving hospital-based emergency medical services.
