The cancer center at Columbia University and NewYork-Presbyterian will receive a nearly 40% increase in funding

Lawrence Hospital Center has been recognized for achievement in using evidence-based guidelines to provide the best possible care to patients through the American Heart Association/ American Stroke Association’s Get With The Guidelines® program.

Lawrence Medical Associates (LMA), a new multi-specialty physician practice affiliated with Lawrence Hospital Center in Bronxville, is expanding. According to Gerald A. Ridge, MD, Medical Director of LMA, the original group of board certified physicians in Internal and Geriatric medicine, has grown to include other specialists who are board certified in Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Cardiology.

Lawrence Hospital Center has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). It is now one of only a handful of Centers of Excellence in women’s imaging in all of Westchester County.

Lawrence Hospital Center is proud to announce the certification of its cardiovascular rehabilitation program by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). Alexandra ‘Xandi’ Samra has been appointed to Lawrence Hospital Center’s Board of Governors. Ms. Samra, a resident of Bronxville for more than 35 years, and mother of two adult children, is no stranger to the hospital. Her late husband, Victor served on Lawrence’s board for 18 years and was the Vice Chair of the Board and Co-Chairman of the Board’s Quality Improvement Committee.

The bariatric surgery center at Lawrence Hospital Center has been accredited as a Level 1B facility by the Bariatric Surgery Center Network (BSCN) Accreditation Program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). This designation means that Lawrence Hospital Center has met the essential criteria that ensures it is fully capable of supporting a bariatric surgery care program and that its institutional performance meets the requirements outlined by the ACS BSCN Accreditation Program.
