Robert M. Minutello, M.D., an interventional cardiologist with a long history at NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine, has been named director of the cardiac catheterization lab and director of the structural heart disease program at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, where he will also lead the new Heart Valve Center.

Dr. Renuka Gupta has been appointed as chief of medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. Dr. Gupta, who is also an assistant professor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, began her role in July 2020. She is succeeding Dr. Judy Tung, who had served in this role since 2016 and was recently appointed as the Associate Dean for Faculty Development at Weill Cornell Medicine in addition to her continuing role in the Division of General Internal Medicine as section chief of Adult Internal Medicine.

Alexandra ‘Xandi’ Samra has been appointed to Lawrence Hospital Center’s Board of Governors. Ms. Samra, a resident of Bronxville for more than 35 years, and mother of two adult children, is no stranger to the hospital. Her late husband, Victor served on Lawrence’s board for 18 years and was the Vice Chair of the Board and Co-Chairman of the Board’s Quality Improvement Committee.
