President of NewYork-Presbyterian/Lawrence Hospital Michael J. Fosina was elected to serve on the Board of Governors of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He officially took office last month at the Council of Regents Meeting, preceding ACHE’s 59th Congress on Healthcare Leadership. Board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow, Fosina will serve a three-year term representing ACHE members on ACHE’s Board of Governors, the authority that oversees ACHE operations and member services.

Three others were selected alongside Fosina including John Botsko, president and owner of BrightStar Care in Bonita Springs, Florida; Carrie Owen Plietz, executive vice president/COO, hospital division, of WellStar Health System in Marietta, Georgia; and David L. Schreiner, president and CEO of Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital in Dixon, Illinois.
