When you require immediate care due to injury or illness, NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester (formerly Lawrence Hospital) has a specially-trained Emergency Medicine team waiting to provide you with the utmost in emergency health care. Our board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians work solely in the Emergency Department (ED) at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester, providing a wealth of experience and quick, effective, and compassionate treatment of injuries and illnesses. These include broken bones, lacerations, heart attacks, and strokes.

doctors in emergency departmentAdditionally, all of our ED physicians are trained in Pediatric Emergency care, and we make the extra commitment to children and their parents by offering a pediatrician onsite in the Emergency Department during the busiest times of the day and on weekends. We also offer specially-designed equipment uniquely suited for addressing the needs of young patients.

NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester (formerly Lawrence Hospital) is a New York State Department of Health designated Stroke Center with a highly skilled and dedicated stroke team on standby around the clock, ready to immediately treat any stroke patient who comes through our doors.

As part of our ongoing effort to provide you with the best service and facilities available, NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester's (formerly Lawrence Hospital) Emergency Department has three triage rooms, a Prompt Care facility, an Admissions Unit, and a waiting and reception area, which features a large saltwater aquarium.
