Men either can't or don't pay enough attention to their own health. The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services estimates men are 24% less likely than women to have visited a doctor in the past year; no demographic uses health care resources less than men between the ages of 18 and 45. This difference in behaviors shows in health outcomes; men become ill at a younger age, have more chronic illnesses, and unfortunately die younger than women.

Getting regular check-ups reduces the risk of getting sick and increases the odds of early detection and treatment of disease. Men’s Health at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian treats the whole man — offering comprehensive and compassionate care aimed at addressing the physical and emotional health of men of all ages in Westchester and Manhattan. We have partnered with doctors throughout our extensive physician network with an understanding of male-specific disease processes.

We have experts in:

  • Urology
  • Cardiology
  • Behavioral Health
  • Internal Medicine/Primary Care

We are evaluating patients both via telemedicine on the NYP On Demand App or in-person when appropriate from physician office locations in Westchester county, as well as Midtown and Uptown Manhattan. Procedural services will be performed at NYP Westchester in Bronxville as well as NYP/Columbia University Irving Medical Center (Milstein Hospital) in Manhattan.
