The Hospital has a Department of Pastoral Care to meet the religious, spiritual and existential needs of patients, families and staff. Pastoral Care is designed to respect the beliefs and needs of each patient and to support patients and families through the healing process. Our services include prayer visits, administration of sacraments, and supportive meetings with patients and their loved ones. Our Pastoral Care team also assists patients with the religious, spiritual and existential challenges involved in making difficult medical decisions. We also lead various prayer and meditation services within the Hospital. Further, resources, such as sacred scriptures, prayer books, prayer rugs, Shabbat candles are available upon request.
Patients and visitors of all beliefs and ways of life are encouraged to visit the Barbara G. Yeager Chapel on the first floor of the Hospital for private reflection and prayer or to join one of the scheduled services.
