International Ultrasound
Our ultrasound faculty has a special interest in global health, particularly in teaching bedside ultrasound in resource-limited areas. We participate in global conferences, workshops, and lectures to help train physicians and associate providers internationally. Here are a few of our recent ultrasound international endeavors:
Developing EM 2018
Dr. Desai and our former ultrasound fellow, Amy, helped teach at a two-day ultrasound workshop in Nadi, Fiji for Developing EM. Amy and Dr. Desai are seen here teaching ultrasound at one of the stations at the workshop! It was such a fun and educational experience.
Developing EM 2017
Dr. Desai and former emergency medicine residents Anita Lui helped host a two-day ultrasound in Colombo! Here you see Dr. Desai giving an ultrasound lecture!
Pan African Thoracic Society Congress 2016
Dr. Desai teamed up with two others to co-host a one-day workshop in Nairobi at the Pan African Thoracic Society (PATS) meeting.
Developing EM 2015
Dr. Desai helped teach a two-day ultrasound workshop in Havana with Matt and Mike from the Ultrasound Podcast! Lots of teaching and lots of learning!
Pan Pacific Emergency Medicine Conference 2014
Dr. Desai was invited to give an ultrasound lecture at the Pan Pacific Emergency Medicine Conference in Daejeon!
