Expert digestive & nutrition services

When you have a digestive disease, you want excellent clinical care blended with personalized attention to your unique needs. Our board-certified gastroenterologists in Westchester and Hudson Valley offer diagnostics and cutting-edge treatments for disorders affecting the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.

Whether you have a common condition like heartburn, or a complex issue such as pancreatic cancer, we’ll use the latest approaches to identify the root causes of your symptoms and develop a plan of care that works for you.

In addition, our team provides a range of supportive services, including nutritional counseling and cooking programs, to maximize your healing and help prevent future digestive problems.

Minimally invasive surgery

NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital’s Digestive Health Center offers advanced laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures for digestive diseases such as gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD), hernias, and achalasia (a swallowing disorder).

We perform single incision laparoscopic surgery (SILS), a minimally invasive procedure to remove the gallbladder in patients with benign gallbladder conditions. SILS is performed through a single incision in the belly button, which can help reduce scarring and speed recovery.

Comprehensive diagnostic testing

Our experts leverage the latest technologies to uncover the causes of your digestive symptoms, including:

  • Colonoscopy
  • Esophagogastroduodenoscopy
  • Esophageal pH testing
  • Endoscopic ultrasound
  • Radiofrequency ablation
  • Flexible sigmoidoscopy
  • Endoscopic mucosal resection
  • Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography
Expertise in motility disorders

Our experts understand that motility disorders, problems related to the movement of food contents through the GI tract, can be very stressful for patients. The Motility Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital offers a comprehensive program to help optimize your motility function and improve your quality of life. Our advanced diagnostic and treatment approaches address a full range of motility issues, including esophageal and colorectal disorders as well as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), difficulty swallowing, and altered bowel patterns like constipation, diarrhea, and fecal incontinence.

Weight management support

NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital offers a full-spectrum medical weight management program that includes non-surgical modalities for patients who need a targeted weight loss program or who may not be candidates for surgical weight loss procedures. A multidisciplinary team comprised of gastroenterologists, nutritionists, nurses and nurse practitioners provides comprehensive weight management that address each patient’s unique weight loss goals and needs.
