Pastoral care services

The Department of Pastoral Care is designed to meet the religious, spiritual, and existential needs of patients, families, and staff. We respect the beliefs and needs of each patient and support patients and families through the healing process. Usually within the first day of admission a member of the Pastoral Care team will visit with the patient to determine their religious preference and needs Our services include

  • Prayer visits
  • Administration of sacraments,
  • Supportive meetings with patients and their loved ones.

Our Pastoral Care team also assists patients with the religious, spiritual and existential challenges involved in making difficult medical decisions. We also lead various prayer and meditation services within the hospital. Further, resources, such as sacred scriptures, prayer books, prayer rugs, Shabbat candles are available upon request.

For support or additional information call our Director of Pastoral Care Stephen Ott at ext. 3009 or our Catholic Chaplain Fr. Gus Badgley at ext. 3199.
