We offer treatment and support for conditions such as carotid artery disease, aortic and iliac aneurysms, deep vein thrombosis, and more. With a unique combination of cardiology, cardiac surgery, and vascular surgery in one collaborative network, our experts are equipped to care for patients who would otherwise be declined for treatment.

We provide surgical services at our hospital as well as consultations and convenient care at our Medical Groups throughout the borough.

Inpatient vascular services

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens provides prompt care 24 hours a day, seven days a week for a range of vascular conditions. Our doctors are experienced in both minimally invasive endovascular procedures and traditional open surgery, and will work with you to determine the best approach for your needs. Some procedures our surgeons perform include:

Endovascular revascularization of peripheral arteries using atherectomy, drug-coated balloon angioplasty, and stenting
Optical tomographic imaging and retrograde access for complex CLI
Carotid endarterectomy and stenting
Endovascular and open repair of aortic aneurysms
Juxtarenal aneurysm repair using custom fenestrated endografts
Iliac aneurysm repair using iliac branch grafts
Treatment of thoracic aneurysms and dissections (in partnership with the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery)
Dialysis Access

Our surgeons and technologists also perform non-invasive vascular lab testing at our inpatient vascular lab, which is accredited by the American College of Radiology. We offer the following tests:

Venous duplex

Outpatient vascular services

Patients with vascular conditions can receive outpatient care—including consultations and onsite imaging — through select NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Queens locations.

We are recognized and accredited by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission for vascular testing (IAC), and perform procedures including carotid duplex, venous and arterial duplex, arterial Doppler, and aortic duplex exams. Our experts also offer office-based treatments for all types of venous disorders including laser/radiofrequency ablation, endovenous laser treatment, sclerotherapy, micro-phlebectomy, and other nonsurgical vein therapies.

Our hybrid interventional operating room at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens allows us to perform minimally invasive treatments that help speed patient recovery. We benchmark our open surgical outcomes using the American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (ACS-NSQIP), and our results rival those of academic medical centers in the region.

We were the first hospital in Queens to perform a fenestrated endovascular aortic aneurysm repair for juxta-renal aortic aneurysms and branched iliac technology for iliac aneurysms. Our team continues to offer the most modern endovascular therapies in the borough.
