Facilities

Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women & Newborns located at NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center

In addition to the facilities located at 525 East 68th Street, the facilities shown below are available on-site at the NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center. Please note, the David H. Koch Center is a cashless facility.

Bathroom/Shower Facilities
A bathroom with a shower is available in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) next to the unit clerk’s desk (Room 15007). Amenity kits and towels are available.

Family Lounge
The family lounge is located inside the NICU next to the unit clerk’s desk (Room 15006). The lounge provides a comfortable, welcoming space. 

Sky Lobby
The Sky Lobby is another comfortable, welcoming space with tables and chairs located outside the NICU. There is also a vending machine with personal items.

Free Internet Access 
Personal laptop computers and most other mobile wireless devices may be used in the hospital. To access the internet:

  • Open wireless networks
  • Click on the “Guest-Net” wireless address
  • Accept the terms/conditions 

Free Interpreter Services
If you would prefer to discuss your child’s medical treatment in a language other than English, including in sign language, an interpreter can be arranged at no cost. Just ask a member of the staff. Equipment for families who are hearing or visually impaired is also available.

Gifts, Personal Care Items, and Electronics
An array of gift items, as well as convenience items that include phone chargers, toothbrushes, and personal hygiene products, are available in a vending machine in the second floor family lounge of the NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center.

Integrative Health & Wellbeing (646) 697-9355
Integrative Health and Wellbeing offers comprehensive care to promote your physical, psychological, and social wellbeing. Therapies include nutritional counseling, acupuncture, massage therapy, and mind-body instruction such as meditation, mindfulness, guided imagery and yoga. These therapies can help to promote relaxation and reduce stress and anxiety. Call the above number to make an appointment.

Parent Accommodations
Parents are encouraged to stay overnight with their child. Pullout beds and linens are available in each room.

Parking
There is a parking garage underneath the hospital, accessible from East 69th Street between York and First Avenues. Remember, the NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center is cashless. There are several other parking garages in the area. Most major credit cards are accepted.

The Reception/Information Desk is located in the lobby of NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center’s main entrance at 1283 York Avenue. 

Sibling Visits
Please check with your child’s care team to see if visits are permitted. Since it is helpful for siblings to be prepared for what they may see or hear, it may help to speak with a child life specialist when preparing for a visit.

Places to Eat at the Hospital

There are three dining options within the NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center on the 2nd floor as well as the ability to order online with NYP TO-GO at togo.nyp.org/nyp/cohen for delivery.  

Be Well Bistro
Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 2:00 pm

Be Well Express Coffee Bar
Daily, 6:30 am to 8:00 pm

Café 68
Daily, 24 hours a day

In addition, there are many restaurants in the area that cater to all tastes and budgets. Feel free to order food and eat in the family lounge and Sky Lounge.
