Providing World-Class Care to Hudson Valley

NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital brings together the exceptional resources of a world-renowned academic medical center with the warmth, accessibility, and personalized attention of a community hospital.

Patients benefit not only from our close partnership with ColumbiaDoctors— the faculty practice of Columbia University Irving Medical Center—but also from our comprehensive range of inpatient services and ambulatory care, as well as primary and multispecialty offices throughout Westchester and Putnam County.

Advanced Care Closer to Home

  • Two state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization labs as part of our interventional cardiology program
  • A modern Maternal & Newborn Care Unit providing comprehensive, family-centered maternity services with private rooms
  • A comprehensive cancer center offering advanced diagnostics, personalized treatment plans, and the expertise of Columbia oncologists
  • The Rodman and Christine Patton Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center, supporting patients recovering from injury or surgery with specialized equipment and dedicated one-on-one therapy
  •  A Digestive Health Center offering a full range of gastrointestinal diagnostic services and cutting-edge treatments

Our Investment Priorities

To ensure Westchester and Putnam County residents continue to receive high-quality care close to home, we are making strategic investments to expand our facilities, programs, technology, and clinical services.  We are pursuing renovations across key specialties—including cancer care, emergency medicine, and women’s health—so that our physical spaces reflect the exceptional care our doctors provide.

Cancer Care

TrueBeam LINAC and CT Simulator

Investing in a new TrueBeam linear accelerator and CT simulator  will provide academic-level care to more patients close to home—saving them a trip into the city. The TrueBeam delivers highly targeted radiation with submillimeter precision, enabling clinicians to shrink tumors while reducing exposure to surrounding healthy tissue. Similarly, the CT simulator combines computed tomography with simulation techniques to provide a highly detailed and accurate visualization of a patient’s anatomy, enabling care teams to make better decisions.

Dedicated PET/SPECT Scanner

Patients need to visit a mobile imaging unit when they need a PET scan. Acquiring a dedicated PET/SPECT scanner— an imaging technology used to detect cancer as well as cardiac  and neurological conditions—will give patients a better experience while giving care teams the right tool to make faster, more  accurate diagnoses. This investment will bring this capability  inside our hospital and help patients feel more supported in a familiar environment.

Emergency Care

We are renovating our Emergency Department waiting and triage areas to ensure everyone feels welcomed, respected, and supported from the moment they arrive. These improvements will create a calmer, more efficient, and patient-centered experience.

Women's Health

In 2021, we renovated our Maternal & Newborn Care Unit and quickly became the provider of choice—so much so that the unit functions at near capacity, overseeing nearly 1,000 births annually (a 400 percent increase from before the renovation). Looking ahead, our long-term plans include further expanding the unit to meet demand and improve families’ comfort and privacy. In the interim, we will continue to enhance the current space to elevate  the patient experience.
