Each year more than 1,000 individuals from throughout New York City devote their time and energy to adding a dimension of care for patients at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Our volunteers bring a wealth of compassion, talent and skill to our more than 25 unique and enriching programs, where they serve as patient caregivers, family liaisons, logistical navigators, infant cuddlers, community health educators and in many other roles. Whether you are a pre-health student, performing artist, working or retired professional or just want to share your skills and "give back," volunteering at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital offers the chance to pursue a passion and enrich numerous lives—including your own. NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital's Department of Educational and Volunteer Resources recognizes the benefits of inspiring future healthcare professionals through volunteering. Through internships, volunteer opportunities, the Summer College Intensive Program, and the Bridge Gap Year, pre-health students can immerse themselves in day to day activities, exploring and gaining exposure to areas of interest.
