Primary Care Medicine:

Pediatric Primary Care is our largest outpatient program. We see children for regular checkups, sick visits, routine vaccinations, and screening tests. At each visit, children are examined by the same team of medical providers, which includes trainees, students, and nurse practitioners.

We understand that mental health is just as important as physical health. We provide mental health screenings, support, and evaluations through our team of medical providers and social workers. Direct care is also available through our dedicated pediatric mental health team. We’re here to support your child’s well-being every step of the way.

Adolescent Medicine:

Adolescents and young adults are seen by a specialized team of health care professionals, including board-certified adolescent medicine specialists, social workers, integrated behavioral health providers, and a dedicated adolescent nurse. The program provides comprehensive health care to adolescents, including general medical care, sexual and reproductive health care including contraception counseling and sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, eating disorders management, and mental health support. Our adolescent team also provides consultations for patients receiving primary care elsewhere.

Health 4 Life:

Health 4 Life (H4L) is a family-centered lifestyle intervention program for overweight children and adolescents. The program provides a safe and supportive environment for 4-18 year-olds and their families who are interested in improved health through healthier diets and increased physical activity.

Intergrated Behavioral Health:

Embedded in our program are our team of psychologists and behavioral health licensed clinical social workers who provided integrated and/or collaborative behavioral health services including short term therapy and coordinated care within the pediatric medical home of our patients.

Neonatal Neurodevelopmental Clinic:

The neurodevelopmental and nutritional progress of infants with prior neonatal hospitalization at risk during their first three years of life is evaluated by neonatal attendings, fellows, physical and occupational therapists, and a nutritionist as part of our neonatal follow-up program. High-risk infants are evaluated for six years.

Reach Out and Read:

A national hospital-based pre-literacy program that links reading aloud with giving books to children aged six months to five years during their primary health care visits. During pediatric primary care visits, the health care provider offers the child a gift of a specially selected book.

Teen Age Parenting:

The Teen Age Parenting Program (TAPP) provides medical care for adolescent mothers and their children in one clinical setting. Babies and toddlers receive routine pediatric care. Adolescent mothers receive routine medical care and contraception management, in addition to parenting support and resources.

Nutrition:

Our dynamic team of pediatric registered dietitians offers outpatient nutrition counseling and breastfeeding/lactation support. As part of each patient’s pediatric care team, we address the individual nutrition needs of each patient and their health-related goals. We guide and encourage patients, families and communities to make healthy food and lifestyle choices.
