The spinal cord research registry contains the names of people who are diagnosed with a spinal cord injury and would like to be informed about the research studies at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. By putting your name in our registry, you may be able to participate in one or more of our research projects involving individuals living with a spinal cord injury.

Frequently asked questions

Your name, telephone number, address, date of birth, date of your spinal cord injury, and general clinical information. After speaking with you, we may ask additional information about your spinal cord injury with your permission. This will help us decide which studies you may qualify for.

By knowing your age and the date of your spinal cord injury, we will be better able to determine which, if any, of our studies you may be eligible to participate in.

Only researchers participating in NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center approved spinal cord injury research studies will have access to the information in the database.
