Pediatric Orthopedics

The Columbia Child to Adult Longitudinal Foot & Ankle (CALF) Program

Bridging the gap between pediatric and adult foot and ankle orthopedic care to provide a lifetime of mobility.

The CALF Advantage: Why Longitudinal Care?

Most pediatric programs end at age 18, leaving patients with complex foot and ankle conditions to navigate the adult care landscape alone. The CALF Program was born from a need for continuity. We provide a care center where patients with complex or untreated conditions can access expert surgical and non-surgical management from birth through adulthood with orthopedic expertise offered from both the pediatric and adult foot and ankle perspective.

  • Seamless Transitions: No need to "re-start" with a new system; your records,
  • imaging, and surgical history stay within one collaborative team.
  • Dual Expertise: Access to both pediatric and adult foot and ankle orthopedic
  • specialists simultaneously.
  • Outcome-Focused: We focus on long-term function and quality of life across the
  • entire lifespan.
