Collaborations and Affiliations
KidsHeart American Children’s Medical Center
KidsHeart American Children’s Medical Center in Dubai collaborates with physicians at NewYork-Presbyterian to improve cardiac services for children in the United Arab Emirates and to ensure access to the most advanced treatment options. Every year, many UAE families with children needing heart repairs travel to New York City for excellent clinical expertise and outcomes, leading-edge technology, and compassionate care at both NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children’s Hospital.
Bermuda Heart Foundation
NewYork-Presbyterian has an affiliation agreement with The Bermuda Heart Foundation to support the foundation’s development of its cardiology program “Healthy Heart Bermuda.” As part of the affiliation, NYP arranges for clinical cardiologists from its affiliated medical schools (Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and Weill Cornell Medicine) to provide the clinical cardiology services at BHF’s CORE Heart Center. The cardiologists examine CORE patients and develop treatment plans where appropriate. Also, as appropriate, the cardiologists will work with CORE patients to develop healthy diet and exercise routines designed to lower blood pressure, cholesterol or any other factor that may lead to heart disease.
