Dr. Daniel Hunt, colon and rectal surgeon and member of the Center for Advanced Digestive Care, received the 2016 Physician of the Year award for NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital. This award is given to only a select few physicians annually across all of NYP's main six campuses.
Dr. Hunt is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He is the Site Chief of Colon and Rectal Surgery at New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. His practice focuses closely on minimally invasive surgical therapies for IBD, colorectal cancer, and other lower-GI diagnoses.
