Awards and Recognition
Numerous prestigious regional and national accreditation organizations have acknowledged the hard work that has led to our outstanding patient outcomes:
Breast Imaging Center of Excellence
The Carol H. Taylor Breast Health Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester (formerly Lawrence Hospital) has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). By awarding our facility the status of a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, the ACR recognizes breast imaging centers that have earned accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound (including ultrasound-guided breast biopsy). The Center is also a Pink Ribbon Facility offering 3D Mammography.
Commission on Cancer Accreditation
Our Cancer program was granted national accreditation with Commendation from The Commission on Cancer (CoC), a quality program of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). To earn voluntary CoC accreditation, a cancer program must meet or exceed the CoC quality care standards, be evaluated every three years through a survey process, and maintain levels of excellence in the delivery of comprehensive patient-centered care. Three-Year Accreditation with Commendation is only awarded to a facility that exceeds standard requirements at the time of its triennial survey.
